Scripture of the Day

The hope of doing a "scripture-of-the-day" is to post a new scripture everyday with the intent of sharing insight for those not familar with the LDS teachings or to uplift and encourage everyone to live more like Christ and follow His teachings as found in the scriptures. These scriptures will be taken from the standard works. For those not familiar, the standard works are: the Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price, the Old Testament, and the New Testament. These scriptures will be posted with a scripture reference as well as a brief insight as to why I like the particular scripture. Today's scripture can be found in D&C Section 4 verse 7: Ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Amen. This scripture has meant a lot to me recently as I prepare for my mission. Knowing that if we ponder the scriptures or pray to our Heavenly Father, searching for an answer, it will be given unto us.
